Meet some of the exceptional instructors leading the Fall WayU College Readiness Course. They are ready to help the Scholars enrolled in our fall cohort excel in their higher education journey.

⭐ Dr. Shallegra Moye – Associate Director of Equity Justice & Strategic Initiatives at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Moye is a champion for public education equity with extensive experience in PreK-12 policy. Her work focuses on building relationships and empowering those serving students and families. Learn more. 

Christina Thomas – With 25+ years in Pittsburgh Public Schools, Christina is passionate about breaking down barriers to student success and ensuring equitable access to post-secondary opportunities. Her experience spans teaching, school counseling, and curriculum development for college and career readiness. 

Dr. Lisa Pickett – Dr. Pickett is the Curriculum and Instruction 9-12 Literacy Coordinator for Pittsburgh Public Schools, with over two decades of experience in education. She has worked as a curriculum writer, consultant, and motivational speaker, helping educators across all levels. Learn more.

Ebony Bowden – With 20+ years of classroom experience, Ebony is a veteran high school English instructor at Steel Valley School District, committed to cultivating a lifelong love of literature, critical inquiry, and personal growth in her students. She is current with best practices in literacy education, integrating technology, culturally responsive pedagogy, and project-based learning into her teaching. 

Natasha Williams – Natasha is Senior Coordinator for Academic Intervention at the University of Pittsburgh. She has extensive experience in mentorship, guidance, educational support, communication, and business administration. She also works with students to review resumes and cover letters, locate internship opportunities, conduct mock interviews, and participate in panel discussions for campus events. Learn more.

Jason Krall – Jason is Associate Provost for Online and Academic Operations at Carlow University. With 20+ years in higher education, he has taught a variety of classes including economics, marketing, business management, career readiness, and a first-year seminar. Learn more.
