A prime site fronting onto a new public plaza at Hazelwood Green is slated to be a new home for single parents juggling the challenges of raising their children while going to college and keeping up with paying the bills.
New York-based Tishman Speyer and Trek Development Group made official their plans to build a 50-unit apartment building on Lytle Street at the master planned redevelopment in Hazelwood, a 50-unit project that includes the foundation-owned Almond Limited Partnership as well as Pittsburgh Scholar House, a nonprofit focused on helping financially constrained single parents working their way through going to college.
